The Universal Audio Apollo X: The Evolution of Apollo Recording Interfaces

The Apollo X series from Universal Audio sees the brand pushing their flagship audio interface further forward than ever before. With the Universal Audio Apollo x16, recording engineers and producers will have more connectivity, unparalleled processing power, improved conversion and expanded monitoring features for their studio rig.

Apollo x16 will find a perfect fit in professional recording studios, as it enables audio creators to track and mix through a 16x18 (16x18 analog I/O) interface with new HEXA core processing. With six SHARC DSP processors, the Apollo X series now allows for 50% more DSP for running UAD plug-ins when working on audio tracks on Mac or PC.

The Apollo x16’s sleek rack mount unit features Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and also has new improvements in conversion and monitoring. Universal Audio engineers have updated their converters for more natural sounding recordings and now offers up to 7.1 surround sound monitoring*, an integrated monitor controller and built-in talkback mic.

Improved Conversion For The Apollo x16

Universal Audio has improved the Apollo interfaces conversion capabilities for the launch of the Apollo X line. For the Apollo x16, the engineering team at Universal Audio paired together 24-bit/192 kHz converters with new analog circuitry to offer best-in-class conversion with 133 dB dynamic range and THD+N of -129 dB

Adding More Power To The Apollo x16

The Apollo x16 offers more power than ever before with HEXA Core processing that utilizes six DSP chips. With 50% more DSP than previous generations of the interface, you’ll be able to take advantage of Universal Audio’s extensive UAD library and have a higher plug-in count when recording and mixing with the Apollo x16.

A Seamless Fit In Any Studio

Using Apollo interfaces in a professional recording studio has never been easier.
