Mesanovic Model 2S
The Mesanovic Microphones Model 2S is a passive stereo ribbon microphone utilizing the same design features found in the Model 2. The Model 2S uses two matched ribbon motors angled at 90 degrees to each other to create a Blumlein configuration. It uses the same motors and transformers found in our Model 2. The motors feature a very short front to back path length along with our custom designed resonator plates. These features give the Model 2S the same unique sonic character found in our Model 2: an incredibly extended and detailed high end, classic smooth ribbon midrange, an open and transparent low end, and an amazingly quick transient response. A custom designed toroidal transformer provides extremely low distortion, low noise, and 3D like sound.
Granelli Audio Labs G5790
The Granelli Audio Labs G5790 is a real SM57 modified to turn 90 degrees. Granelli Audio Labs uses brand new Shure® SM57s and inserts a custom-made aluminum part with an acoustically-engineered internal sound path. The result is a microphone that maintains the SM57's renowned durability and familiar tone while increasing functionality.
AKG D12 VR
The AKG D12 VR is a large-diaphragm cardioid dynamic microphone. Designed specifically for kick-drum recording applications, the microphone has a thin diaphragm to enhance the low frequency performance.
Without phantom power, the microphone delivers the pure character of the sound source. With phantom power enabled, one of three switchable active-filter presets can be used to quickly adapt the microphone response to suit the desired kick-drum sound. The filter setting can be controlled using a switch on the microphone body. In this mode the output level is also reduced by 10 dB automatically.
Sennheiser MD 421 II
The Sennheiser MD 421 II continues the tradition of the MD 421 which has been one of Sennheiser's most popular dynamic mics for over 35 years. The large diaphragm, dynamic element handles high sound pressure levels, making it a natural for recording guitars and drums. The MD 421's full-bodied cardioid pattern, and five-position bass control make it an excellent choice for most instruments, as well as group vocals, or radio broadcast announcers. One listen and you'll know why it's a classic.
