The Chandler Germanium 500 is a 500 Series compatible Germanium preamp. No circuit or transformer changes were necessary to adapt our original Germanium Preamp/DI into this rack-mountable version. Just like the original Germanium Preamp/DI, the Germ 500 uses classic germanium transistors in a class A transformer balanced circuit.

The GERMANIUM 500 Series runs on high power, high current, and has a huge + 29 output before clipping. It is compatible with third party racks, but Chandler ****DOES NOT RECOMMEND USE WITH API 500B6 LUNCHBOX**** for lowest noise floor and best performance, use Chandler PSU-500 (5 pin version for API 500V rack or 4 pin version for Averil 11 slot rack)
