512C PREAMP

The TSC-II starts off with the beloved 512C mic preamp at the front of the chain. With the turn of a gain knob, you can dial in a wide range of tones from subtle clean boost to thick, satisfying overdrive. Speaking of versatility, the preamp lets you easily switch between Mic, Line, or Instrument inputs to give any sound a touch of API magic.

527A COMPRESSOR

This multi-mode compressor sounds fantastic as soon as you boot it up, but it lets you dial in a variety of sounds in seconds. Along with its fully adjustable Threshold, Attack, Release, and Ratio controls, the compressor also features API’s patented THRUST circuit for a hefty boost that punches up your sound to new levels.

550A EQUALIZER

This EQ circuit is probably one of API’s greatest and most loved inventions, so it obviously had to be included in the TSC-II. The three-band circuit gives you up to 12 dB of boost or cut for each frequency range, along with shelf modes for the high and low bands. There’s also the B.P. Filter, which adds 50 Hz to 15 kHz bandpass filter at the press of a button for even more unique tone profiles.

MASSIVE FLEXIBILITY

A 325 Line Driver is taken straight from API consoles at the unit's output, ensuring a consistently clean and detailed signal. Speaking of signal, the TCS-II lets you bypass any part of the chain for use alongside your favorite outboard gear, as well as a switch that internally routes the compressor after the EQ. Add those specs with a sidechain input, comprehensive patching options in the rear panel, and the famous API 2520 transformer, and you have a robust all-in-one channel strip suited for any professional recording studio.
