Learning About VCFs With Klayton (Celldweller)

Klayton (Celldweller) is back with the second video in our new educational series on the basic building blocks of synthesizers. In this new video, Klayton is focusing in on voltage-controlled filters (VCF) and demonstrating how they are used with some help from a Moog Music Model 15, Malekko Richter Dual Borg, Intellijel Korgasmatron II and more.

VCFs are responsible for sculpting your synthesizer's sound and altering other aspects of a signal, by using common filters like Low-Pass, High-Pass, Comb, Band-Pass and Notch. Just as its name implies, these modules offer users a plethora of options for blocking some frequencies and allowing others to pass through.
